Tussar Benarasi saree is made using a combination of Tussar silk and zari using the benarasi weaving technique. Usually the texture is rough as in raw silk and the zari used is of an antique gold colour. Tussar is produced from the cocoons of the Antheraea moth, which is collected wild and not usually cultivated and is mainly found in India. These sarees are decorated with intricate designs using antique gold zari; making the sarees heavy and thus gives a natural fall.the master weavers use Mughal-inspired designs/elements such as intricate floral and foliate motifs and flowers. This beautiful magenta saree has a rose motif and intricately designed Palla in a matt zari finish. A beautiful example of the perfect evening wear showcasing elegance and sophistication.
